Nautilus Pompilius Nautilidae
This family can be said to be prehistoric. The fossilized fossils of Nautilus and its counterfeits date back more than 500 million years. Nowadays, albeit with somewhat altered anatomy, it has retained the shape of its exquisite shell. There are interconnected cavities in the inside of his chew which, if necessary, fill with water for better balance or immersion. Although a predator he moves much slower than his caved cousins - squid and octopus, the Nautilus lives on a depth of about 400-600 meters, and comes out on the surface usually for dinner to eat. It occurs in the Pacific and the Indian Ocean, the most common in the Philippines and Fiji. For many years, the Nautilus shell is a symbol of symmetry and perfection.
